A LITTLE CLARITY
Your journal is personal. Here is how Jarivo uses information, how optional backups work, and the choices you have.
Your everyday journal runs on your device. No Jarivo account or bank connection is needed.
Optional encrypted copies go directly to your selected Google Drive account.
Email the developer directly for questions, support, and privacy requests.
Jarivo is developed and operated by Muhammad Huzaifa Malik, under the Huzaifa Dev developer identity. This Privacy Policy covers Jarivo’s solo Android money journal and the Jarivo pages on huzaifadevs.com.
Jarivo is currently in development. This policy describes its current solo features, including optional Google Drive recovery copies; availability can depend on the version you use. It does not describe a public app release or an active household, subscription, or bank-sync service.
For privacy questions, email hypcheckss26@gmail.com. Please send only the information needed to explain your question.
Jarivo uses the information you enter to show your journal, calculate totals, fill savings jars, and organize reminders. This can include:
The financial journal and stored receipt files are encrypted in the app’s private storage. Some local profile, preference, and backup scheduling information is kept separately in private app storage and is not encrypted as part of the financial journal.
Everyday solo use does not create a Jarivo account or connect to your bank. Jarivo does not upload your financial journal to a developer-operated solo server. The optional backup and export paths below are separate choices.
If you choose to connect Google Drive, Jarivo requests access only to its own hidden application-data storage using the drive.appdata permission. It does not request broad access to your ordinary Drive documents. Google handles account selection and authorization.
Jarivo uses that access to find, create, upload, and download its recovery archives. A recovery archive contains the selected financial journal, its journal preferences, and supported receipt attachments. It does not contain every journal or all device-local welcome and experience settings. The archive is password-protected and encrypted before it is sent over HTTPS directly to Google. It does not pass through a Jarivo backup server.
Google processes the selected account, authorization, network, and file information. Backup file identifiers, size, timestamps, and other file metadata are separate from the encrypted journal contents. Jarivo keeps account and scheduling information locally and uses a temporary access token for authorized requests; it does not store your Google password or persist its own Google access or refresh tokens. Google’s services manage their own authorization records.
Your recovery password is used locally and is not sent to Google or the developer. Google authorization alone cannot recover the journal without the required recovery password. If you enable scheduled backups, Jarivo can deliver a previously prepared encrypted copy in the background. Device and network restrictions can delay delivery; a prepared copy is not the same as a successful upload.
Jarivo uses Google access for the backup and restore features you choose. Google user data is not sold, used for advertising, used to determine creditworthiness, or used to train general-purpose AI models. Jarivo’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will follow the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Google’s handling of its services is described in Google’s Privacy Policy.
Jarivo can create readable PDF, Excel, and CSV reports and password-protected recovery archives. You choose files and destinations through Android’s document picker. A destination may be on your device or with a cloud or document provider you select.
Readable reports are not protected by Jarivo’s journal encryption after export. Anyone who can access an exported report may be able to read it. The selected provider’s privacy and retention practices apply to files stored with it. Importing a recovery archive restores its information into local app storage.
Jarivo does not automatically send exported reports to the developer. If you choose to send a file or screenshot for support, its contents become part of that correspondence. Remove financial details that are not needed.
Optional notifications provide reminder and backup notices. Android scheduling and network services support reminders and optional backups. File selection uses Android’s document picker. Optional app lock uses Android’s device-confirmation process; Jarivo does not receive biometric templates or your device PIN.
Jarivo’s solo features do not integrate advertising, behavioral analytics, or a developer-operated crash-reporting service. This does not mean that Android or Google services process no technical data. Google authorization and platform components may process account information, device information, network identifiers, and diagnostics under their own policies. Google Play’s platform and store processing is also separate from your local journal.
Information may be disclosed where legally required, or where necessary to investigate security or abuse, but this does not give the developer remote access to an encrypted journal stored only on your device.
The website is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare. To deliver pages, protect the site, and diagnose failures, Cloudflare processes technical request information such as IP addresses, requested paths, browser or device information, request times, and response or security information. Hosting logs and service metrics are separate from the Android journal. See Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.
The website does not include advertising or third-party behavioral analytics scripts. Fonts and artwork are served from this website. It saves your chosen appearance in your browser’s local storage. You can remove that preference by clearing site data in your browser. The sample money dial uses illustrative values in memory; it does not send those values to a server or save them as financial records.
If you email hypcheckss26@gmail.com, the developer receives your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. They are used to answer your request, troubleshoot the issue, and handle relevant legal or security obligations. This mailbox uses Gmail, so Google also processes the correspondence as an email provider. Please do not send passwords, sign-in codes, or an entire journal when a short, redacted explanation will do.
You control your local journal and external copies separately. There is no Jarivo solo account to delete and no developer-held master copy of your journal.
Website technical logs follow the hosting service’s retention settings and security requirements. Browser appearance preferences remain until you change them or clear site data. Restoring a backup can recreate information that you previously removed from a local journal.
Jarivo encrypts its financial journal, stored receipt files, and portable recovery archives. Journal keys are protected using Android’s key-storage facilities. Optional app lock adds device confirmation, and amount hiding changes what is visible on screen. Backup requests use HTTPS.
These measures do not encrypt every item of local metadata or protect a readable report after export. Their effectiveness also depends on your device, recovery password, selected providers, and who can access your files. No software or storage method can guarantee absolute security. The developer cannot reset a forgotten independent recovery password to decrypt a backup.
You can use the solo journal without Drive, choose whether to export files, control optional notifications and app lock, and manage your data as described above.
Where applicable privacy law gives you rights, these may include access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, and a complaint to a relevant data-protection authority. Email the privacy contact below for information held by the developer, such as support correspondence. Because the developer cannot remotely read or change your device’s journal, local journal requests may need to be completed on your device.
Where a legal basis is required, requested support is processed to respond to you and provide assistance; essential website delivery and security rely on the legitimate interest in operating a reliable, secure site; necessary records may be kept to comply with legal obligations. Optional Google access requires your authorization and can be revoked. These descriptions do not remove rights provided by your local law.
Google and Cloudflare operate internationally, so information they handle may be processed outside your country under their applicable safeguards and policies. Your local journal is not sent abroad simply by using offline solo features.
Jarivo is a general-purpose personal money journal and is not designed specifically for children. If a child uses it, a parent or guardian should consider the child’s age, applicable local rules, and any external service they choose to connect. Please contact the developer if you believe a child has provided personal information directly in support correspondence so it can be reviewed and removed where appropriate.
This page will be updated when the described features or data practices change, with a new effective date. Material changes will also be explained in the app or another appropriate notice before new data uses begin. New uses of Google user data will require updated disclosures and renewed authorization where required.
